My inspiration, my partner, my wife
Marriage Journey
My wife has inspired me for more than 20 years through the best of times - and worst.
My wife and I have been married and lived in Florida for over two decades, and our journey hasn’t been easy. There were moments when the road felt impossible. But she never gave up. Even during our darkest days—with our lives publicly exposed in ways I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy—she kept going. In the past two and a half years especially, I’ve seen a rebirth in her. It’s not just a recommitment to her faith, though that’s a huge part of it. It’s a total transformation—mind, body, and spirit.
She’s taken on this journey with incredible intentionality as a student, mother, wife and human being. Therapy, adjusting her diet, focusing on her health, and even diving into the hard work of addressing root issues from our past—she’s done it all. And she’s done it with humility, character, and determination that inspire me daily. I’ve watched her lead Bible studies, something she’d never imagined herself doing, and pour into the lives of other women. She’s leading from a place of authenticity, knowing that to truly impact others, she has to get herself right first.
This transformation hasn’t been easy. There were times when her body literally shut down—she’d sleep for up to 12 hours a day, utterly exhausted. But even in those moments, she trusted the process. She embraced rest as part of her healing, and she leaned on the Lord to guide her through. It was a gritty perseverance, but this time, it wasn’t just grit for grit’s sake. It was yielding to God as the ultimate faith advisor and allowing Him to do the deep work in her heart.
I’m so proud of her. She’s better today than I’ve ever seen her—spiritually and mentally thriving, even as she continues the physical journey. Her story reminds me that true transformation comes not from masking the pain but from facing it head-on, with faith and trust in God. Experience is the best teacher and its lesson is one of grace, love, and the beauty of never giving up.
She’s my inspiration, my partner, and my reminder that even in the darkest times, there’s hope. And I’ll keep telling her—I’m proud of you. Because she’s a testament to what faith and perseverance can do.
